Elizabeth in Fine Art Colored Pencil

ELIZABETH is a portrait study of the iconic Elizabeth Taylor from one of many reference free stock photographs of the movie star in the public domain. In my imagination it was dated from around the time she made Butterfield 8. My goal was to attempt to capture some of both the haughtiness and vulnerability of her beauty and personality… and if I didn’t quite succeed, that’s okay, as I really didn’t intend to go much below the skin.
