Marilyn Monroe, actress and model, possessed a gravitational pull that held men like Arthur Miller, Joe DiMaggio and John F. Kennedy in her orbit. She became legend, battling the tragic perils of great beauty and fame. I tried to show a kind of dreamy paralysis in her heavy eyelids, intoxicating her lovers, her fans and even herself.
